On the 9th July 2024 All Together Active collaborated with the Champs Support Team to host a one hour online session to raise awareness of All Together Active strategy with ICB, primary care, secondary care and public health colleagues. All Together Active and physical activity had some excellent endorsement from Ian Ashworth (Director of Population Health for Cheshire and Merseyside), Raj Jain (NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB Chair) and Carl Marsh (Place Director for Warrington), in particular supporting a long-term, prevention focused and whole-system approach.

Messages that were reinforced at the event included:

“We can move mountains with the right leadership”
“We need to empower our local communities who understand the hurdles and potential solutions, not take a top-down approach”
“Physical activity within health is a no brainer – why aren’t we doing more?”

The recording and slides from the event are now available to view, and since this event Active Cheshire and MSP have reached out to Place Directors across Cheshire and Merseyside to look at supporting them to include physical activity within their place-based plans and priorities.
